John leads sales and delivery for Sustena, bringing 20 years of management consulting experience focused on strategy and execution to solve critical business problems for clients. His work spans digital media, financial/insurance, healthcare, transportation, and the energy industries. John has delivered solutions in business strategy, M&A, product development, technology strategy, process improvement, organizational design, and change management. He earned an MBA from Vanderbilt University and a B.S. in Business Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio. John spends his weekends chasing and driving his three kids to events, using his free time for travel and watching EPL games.

Yeti
Yeti’s brand created both a market and a movement. That power and ability to drive customer pull fascinates me. From the first time I heard “we need a Yeti” in my household to now when I see Yeti’s pervasiveness in my daily life, not to mention the copycat brands it created, I’ve appreciated the power a great brand plus a once-in-a-generation product idea can have with consumers.
Krispy Kreme
Admittedly, I’m a fan of sweets, but Krispy Kreme’s rise in the late 90s and their expansion into Texas in the 2000s fascinated me. Using a different spelling that mirrors the difference in producing the actual food product caused people to think their donuts are different. That continues today with Krispy Kreme, the dominant southern donut outlet (sorry, Dunkin!).
