Industry News: Weight Watchers Becomes WW Inc.

Weight Watchers International recently rebranded to WW Inc. This move from the health and wellness brand is part of a strategy change — moving from a strict focus on diets to a broader focus on the story and journey of wellness. Our own Stephen Strigle recently wrote about how a rebrand like this may be appropriate to accompany a strategy shift, but this name-shortening (a shift to an acronym) is a rather drastic move from the well established brand. All of us at Sustena are interested to follow the effect of this move in the coming months and years.
